Christchurch Runners

A very popular subsection, we can often be seen out and about lunch times and at other times. Part of the Dorset Road Race League, as well as organising its own races, there is always something going on.
We are a mixed ability club. For a newcomer, the idea of a running club can be rather daunting - you know, "oh they must be very fit" or "I'll never keep up with them". Nothing could be further from the truth. Yes, you get much fitter than you would be when you join, but some of us are pretty slow. So newcomers should not be put off by feelings of inadequacy. We do have a number of trophies within the club that we compete for and, while the theory is that everyone is equally likely to win them, the practice is that newcomers actually tend to have an advantage over the 'established' members. So there is considerable incentive for people who are starting out with the club.

Contact details are on this website.

Christchurch Circuits

Regular sessions are held every Monday lunchtime, and are open to all members of the Circuits subsection. Sessions include a variety of exercises aimed at improving overall physical performance. Everyone can work at a pace that suits them, so the sessions are suitable for people of all abilities.

Anyone who is interested in joining should contact  Ed Lakin on 03300 464602 or email This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.

Tennis

The two tennis courts at the entrance to Grange Road are available to all members of ECSSC.
Professional coaching and individual coaching can be arranged.

Please note that it is a ECSSC rule that juniors may not use the courts without a responsible adult present.
Tournaments can be organised against local clubs and involve Ladies, Men's, and Mixed Doubles, as well as singles matches. It is also hoped to have social events, e.g. barbecue, for members and families.

An online booking system operates for members to ensure a court is available.
